Who I Am

So, you've stumbled upon what is eventually be my little corner of the interwebs. My very, very small corner. May as well have the obligatory introduction post!

I'm almost 30, and a working mother. My husband G and I have three beautiful, mischievous, energetic children. D is almost five, K is 3, and R is a young three months. Yes, we have our hands full, yes, we know how this happens, and no, I'm not pulling my hair out. Honey, that's falling out all on it's own! And what remains provides my hair (goddess) stylist a fun game of pointing out my greys while I get my hair done. Motherhood is fantastic, though. Really!

After having my first two children, I developed my new found love for fitness through Zumba. I loved it so much, in fact, that I became certified to teach it myself. I lost about 35 pounds through Zumba, running, and following a paleo lifestyle. Then, I got pregnant. See what happens? Lose weight = get knocked up. It's almost scientific. I gained 60 pounds with what was my tiniest baby, and took a jump on getting back at shape as soon as I was cleared to work out. I knew at that point that I wanted to go to school for health and wellness, minor in personal training, and be able to truly help people who want to make a change in their lives. Becoming a BeachBody coach was an obvious step to achieving my goals. I can help people reach their fitness and wellness goals simply by going what I do, posting recipes, my workouts...and then tell them how to do it once they make the decision to contact me to ask what I'm doing. The compliments never get old, and neither does the feeling of satisfaction that comes from helping someone reach a goal. 

I've decided that I would like to reach out via blog, as it gives me more space to expand how many recipes I share, and my friends and family can delve as much or as little into what I'm doing. So, grab a bottle of water (glass of vino) and browse! Hopefully you will find something that helps you today!
